Over the course of his medical career, Dr. Lee has developed a special interest in helping patients who are struggling to maintain a healthy weight and lifestyle. He is certified in laparoscopic gastric banding, vertical sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass revisions, gastric balloons, endoscopic sleeve gastrectomy, and laparoscopic single incision surgery. Dr. Lee has 15 years of experience in bariatric surgery and is thoroughly versed in medical and surgical treatment of the gastrointestinal tract, gallbladder, hernia, hiatal hernia, breast, thyroid/parathyroid, and varicose veins.

Dr. Lee earned his medical degree from the University of Iowa and completed his internship and residency in general surgery at Michigan State University in Kalamazoo, MI. He has enjoyed a successful and rewarding general and bariatric surgery career for over 18 years.

Dr. Lee is truly passionate about helping people. He believes that treatment is a     journey – not a single day in surgery – and is committed to supporting his patients through every step of that journey. In addition to practicing medicine, Dr. Lee loves spending time with his family including his sons. He also has a farm and is proud to be learning the ropes of raising cows, caring for the land, and gardening.
